Congratulations to both ACS Varsity Teams that brought home the league championships for the first time in the history of the school last night!

In the girls game, ACS was up against the returning champion, undefeated Gloucester County Christian School.  Despite the opposition, the Lady Cougars were able to keep the game close, down by 1 point at half.  Led by Shereesha Richards (20 points, 11 rebounds), Kaylee Breunig (11 points), Maryah Coleman (18 rebounds), and Jodi Kelley (5 points, 5 steals), the girls finished the game with the 43-38 win.  This is the first time in the history of the school that a girls team in any sport has won the championship.

Our boys showed up in the boys championship game and never looked back.  The Cougars defeated 2nd seeded T.C.A. 64-41 for their 4th consecutive league championship.  Leading the boys team were league MVP Derek Puhalski (11 points), Luke Piotrowski (14 points), and Matt Leary (7 rebounds).

Congratulations to both teams on such a memorable season!
